Delivering the World's Knowledge
to Rural Sierra Leone
The Problem
Sierra Leone is a very difficult place for a rural child to get an education.
Our Vision
We envision a time, when a young student in a rural village of Sierra Leone, has the same opportunity to learn anything that students in Freetown, the capital, or any city in the modern world can.
Our Mission
To find, deploy, and help maintain self-learning technologies in the rural villages of Sierra Leone that level the learning opportunities between the village, the city, and the rest of the world.
Why?
As a learner, a parent, or a tutor we founders all used computer assisted learning. We have all been very lucky and want to give back. We want to create the same possibilities we had, in rural Sierra Leone today, despite the lack of internet and power.
Our Approach
We partner with rural village leadership to build and maintain Village Learning Centers using several solar powered, digital, self-learning technologies, along with a learning model that utilizes them. We want to make the “whole world possible” for rural Sierra Leone children.
